Why Ground Prep Is Everything
Most lawn failures aren't a turf problem — they're a ground problem. Laid on shallow, compacted or poorly drained soil, even premium turf will struggle to establish, sit unevenly and thin out in patches. Jackson's preparation typically includes removal of existing vegetation, cultivation and de-stoning, a minimum 100mm of quality topsoil, grading to falls, and firming before laying. The preparation takes longer than the laying — and that's the point.

Jackson visits, walks the space, assesses drainage and levels, and produces a clear fixed-price quote covering groundworks, topsoil, turf and any edging or feature elements.

Groundworks & Preparation
Old turf removed, soil cultivated, drainage issues addressed where found, topsoil laid and levelled to gradient, surface raked and firmed ready for laying.
- Step 3
Turf, Finish & Aftercare
Premium turf laid in staggered rows, edges trimmed, first watering completed. Aftercare advice provided — Jackson is on hand for questions during the establishment period.
